Lilo & Stitch Live-Action Movie Gets OTT Release Date: When and Where to Stream
Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch is now available to stream from July 22 on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, and YouTube.

The live-action version of Lilo & Stitch from Disney is now streaming after a huge run at the box office throughout the world. Since its July 22 release on various OTT platforms, audiences have been able to enjoy the touching story of friendship and family from the comfort of their homes.
Fans may watch the movie on YouTube, Apple TV+, and Amazon Prime Video. Depending on the platform, they can either rent or pre-purchase the movie.

About the Film: An Updated Version of a Treasured Classic
Lilo & Stitch is a live-action adaptation of the beloved animation film from 2002. Stitch, a blue alien fugitive who crash-lands on Earth and is misidentified as a dog, is the subject of the movie. A lively little girl from Hawaii named Lilo, who lives with her older sister Nani, adopts him.
The official synopsis is as follows:
An alien creature named Stitch visits Earth after breaking out of his captivity and attempting to pass for a dog. His adoption from an animal sanctuary by Lilo changes the course of events.
The director's vision: a tribute rather than a duplicate
Dean Fleischer Camp, the film's director, previously told Disney that the live-action adaptation was made to respect the original without exactly copying it.
Although it wasn't a literal translation, he said, "we tried to adapt it in a way that paid loving tribute to the original."
"Live action and animation are two entirely different mediums; you can do certain things well in live action that you can't do in animation, and vice versa."
